Crank

Ahoy, mateys! haven't been around in a while. student teaching is specTACular... but i'm really busy. had time to read these though.

Reader Response to Crank by Ellen Hopkins

back cover reads:
Kristina Georgia Snow is the perfect daughter: gifted high school junior, quiet, never any trouble. But on a trip to visit her absentee father, Kristina disappears and Bree takes her place. Bree is the exact opposite of Kristina--she's fearless.
Through a boy, Bree meets the monster: crank. And what begins as a wild, ecstatic ride turns into a struggle through hell for her mind, her soul--her life.

My rxn:
the second novel i've read that's written in poetic form. relatively short read. simple. straigtforward. Keeps the reader interested. the 537 pages are a little overwhelming, but they go by quickly. it's emotional, confusing, and current. I would highly recommend it for anyone who liked go ask alice, or any ladies age 15 and up. Word Nerd Seal of Approval.

I'm finishing up Animal Farm currently. off to a volleyball game!
