unexpected development

Reader Response to Unexpected Development by Marlene Perez

The inside cover reads:
"Megan knows twenty different words for "breasts," and she can recite them alphabetically--but she can't remember the last time a guy gazed into her eyes instead of her chest. Will Jake Darrow be different? Will Megan learn to trust him? It's a problem. Two big problems, actually."

My Rxn:

Excellent read. Definitely wins the Word Nerd Seal of Approval. It's about a rather well endowed girl, with whom i can certainly identify. It's a pretty typical teeny bopper story, but Megan ends up finding a guy who likes her for the person she is, not the "burdens" she has to carry around. It might let girls who aren't as endowed to see what we top heavy girls go through. i think it's appropriate for ages 15 and up.... but most would run and hide from the embarassing cover! not classroom appropriate... but i'd recommend it to mature readers!
