ok. i've decided i'm too damn busy to be an overacheiver for the remainder of the semester.
The following books have been flung from my reading list:
The Stories of English by David Crystal
What's in a Word? by Webb Garrison
Made in America by Bill Bryson
Say it My Wayby Willard Espy
Anguished English will also go- as it is by Richard Lederrer and is becoming *surprise* redundant and boring!
I'm going to keep this book list around, however, for future reference... so on some cold, rainy, uneventful day (when i'm an english teacher and actually have time to read, HA!) i can sit and learn more.
yay. learning more. A few things i'm excited about. my LAST ed. measurement and assessment class is tonight! YAY! My lesson for clinic 2 is tomorrow. I take the praxis 2 on saturday, which also happens to be Steveo's birthday.Shaun Groves is playing at the Cup O' Joy on Saturday....
in other news... ryskie shipped off to the phillipines this morning for 16 days of awippsome jesus freak work. My heart is flooded with fear. I armored him up by reading some excellent verses from the Word. I said I love you just in case.
ACK.
i also have to type up that "deep thoughts" thing in middle english.... i'll do that later. for now, i must fly!

Jenn, don't believe people when they say you'll have no time to read as a teacher. You will need your books to keep from becoming fake and insane... in a bad way, that is. we all have to be somewhat insane. Anyway, from what I've seen, you'll be an awippsome teacher. No worries.
