This was my journal collection. I've been writing in a journal since I was 8. Four distinct groups are represented here: utility/scratch, pre-conversion (youth and high school), post-conversion, and blank. The odd thing? There are exactly 12 of each. I burned about half of them during a silent retreat up at the St. Joseph Formation before the beginning of summer. I love writing, but I also love re-reading what I've written. Some things shouldn't be re-read. It's kind of in the vein of why I tend to avoid the music that I used to listen to before my conversion. Mayhaps a post about that soon.
