ok. so why the words i chose. I was at lincoln observing for my clinic 2. I was helping students with their literary analysis papers... they're supposed to do a character analysis on the New Teacher or Johnny from "The Children's Story" by James Cavell. The New Teacher manipulates the students in her class.
I was glancing over the introduction that one student wrote. He used the word, "imbue." I had never seen the word before, so i asked him what it meant. He said, "to influence." HM?! that's pretty cool. new vocab word for the day. so... for my first word investigation- i present:
