hey everyone. the name's jenn. I'm new to blogger.com, but an old pro when it comes to blogging. check out my xanga site.

a little explaining to do. my handle, scarlet2snow, is taken from one of my favorite Bible quotes. Isaiah 1:18:

"Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool. "

I'm a total jesus freak... as you'll find out as you read.... i've read the Bible cover to cover... and there are tons of freaky words in there as well! So maybe this class will help me out with that!

this blog will be used for my History and Structure of the English Language class. I'll be posting sweet info about words. yay! words! i love words, langauge, reading, writing, and basically just spewing anything about literature. so. here we go.

my first assignment is to list my hopes for the upcoming semester. They are:
1. To change my love/hate relationship with syntax.
2. To help prepare for the Praxis 2, which prolly won't happen since i have to take it in november.
3. To learn more about words! WORDS!
4. To share my love of language with others.


That said, i have some other assignments as well that will be posted in the near future:
I need to look at suggested websites and review them.
I also need to look up assigned words and define them in relation to semantics, lexical level, word structure, and syntax.
